Setting up a room booking panel
There are several steps required to set up a room booking panel of the type shown, all of which are straight forward.
Create a GoBright environment
One of the first steps is to create your GoBright environment by logging into the GoBright portal at www.gobright.com > Portal/Login. Enter your administrator credentials. If Room booking is part of your licence agreement then Meet will be one of the options at the top of the portal screen. If this is not available please check your licence agreement.
The Room Panel
Connect power and ethernet connections to the room panel. The panels are PoE so only one connection via ethernet may be required depending on systems.
Once powered up the panel will ask for standard confirmations around connectivity and timezones. After updating the pre-installed GoBright setup software will launch. If the software does not launch read this article - Installing the GoBright App
With a GoBright account already created then steps can be skipped from those shown on the screen. If an account has not been created then follow the panel configuration steps. The key in all cases is the Activation Code, unique to each display.
Activating the panel
Visit www.gobright.com > Portal/Login. Enter administrator credentials to access the administrator account.
From the Dashboard select Settings > Devices
From the left hand margin select Displays, then the blue Add button.
Enter a name for the room panel, and importantly the Activation Code and then save.
The room panel will be listed in the displayed hardware waiting activation. This may take a few minutes.
When activated the red 'never seen yet' will go green and a message from when it was last seen. Also the activation pending will be ticked and activated.
The room panel is now fully active and linked to the GoBright account.
