Using existing documents to enhance the Workspace environment.
About Nialli Workspace
Nialli workspace is designed to be a collaborative and interactive meeting tool. As such it does not solely rely on its own software functionality, instead reaching out to other software types that can be included in the Nialli Workspace. The outcome is that not only does a meeting benefit from the sticky notes and Quickshare built into the Nialli software but also the inclusion of key documents such as images, PDF's, PowerPoint and Word. This allows a meeting to develop without the need to recreate all previously gained information.
Inserting images
Imagery can play an important element of a meeting, after all a picture is worth a thousand words. The inclusion of images especially in the design process can add productivity to a meeting. Having the ability to write over the top of images allows for modifications to be highlighted and decisions agreed.
Inserting an image into the Nialli Workspace is straight forward.
After logging into your Nialli Workspace from the left hand menu select the image icon.
Your general computer files will be shown, navigate to the folder with the image required, select and open.
The image is loaded into the Nialli Workspace environment. Notice that a hyperlink can be added to the image allowing easy access to the image or another linked file the image may have being extracted from. Selecting OK adds the image to the Workspace. The standard linking arrow and resizing circle are also available. Clicking and dragging the blue bar allows for the image to be moved.
Inserting documents
After logging into your Nialli Workspace from the left hand menu select the Doc icon.
Navigate to your required folder to view the files that can be uploaded to the workspace.
From the confirmation screen a hyperlink can be added if the file led to another document for instance that may still be on your network.
In this instance a PDF document was inserted into the workspace. This has a connector arrow for dependencies in the top left hand corner, A resize circle at the bottom right hand corner of the file, and a forward arrow on the side of the document which allows navigation.
The same principle and layout occurs when inserting a PowerPoint presentation or indeed a word file.
This inclusion of documents and images allows meeting to develop without the requirement to exit Nialli Workspace, this is especially important if using Nialli on a multiple screen display where the workspace is stretched across all screens.
