Nialli - How to work with sticky notes

How to work with sticky notes

The Nialli Workspace software solution is designed to provide an infinite horizontal area to be collaborative and creative by having the flexibility to move information around the Workspace as ideas and thoughts develop. At the heart of this process is the humble sticky note, something we are all familiar with in paper form. In digital form they take on a whole new potential for collaboration across an organisation that could be spread over several timezones.

Firstly remember that the Nialli Workspace is available 24/7 365 days a year, not just current office hours where your meeting room may be situated. Away from the office? No problem as the Nialli Workspace solution can be accessed via a web browser.

A sticky note is added to the Workspace from the side menu bar of the software.

The dialogue option are opened where:

    • text can be added to the note
    • the colour of the note can be chosen
    • size of the note (Small, Medium, Large)
    • progress of the note
    • A hyperlink to further documentation

When the options required are selected click 'Add'. The note will be added to the Workspace.

The blue circle at the bottom right hand corner allows the note to be resized by clicking and dragging. The blue arrow creates a connector that could link notes together to form a process pathway.

    Editing a note

To edit the note right hand click on the note to bring up the edit menu.

Selecting 'Edit Note' opens the full edit menu allowing colours of the note and text to be altered. Keeping with the initial menu allows the note to be deleted, copied or process status changed to stalled (angled) or blocked (crossed)

    Progression

Adding further notes to the Workspace allows ideas and thoughts to be documented in a cross location collaborative environment.

Using connectors allows the notes to stay connected whilst they may change position on the Nialli Workspace.

Selecting the one note will take all of the attached connectors into the potential for editing. This is important for colour pathways to be easily identified by all involved in the project.
