Mago Room - screen sharing from Windows10 devices

Enabling Screen Sharing for Windows10 Devices

A common problem encountered with Mago Room is ensuring that Windows10 devices cannot see the Mago client software in order to mirror content.  Instead of seeing the Mago Room client, you can only select the host PC to mirror to.

This does not effect iOS or Android devices.

This is caused by a Windows setting on the PC, which overrides the Valarea configuration.

This can be easily fixed as follows

    1.  Check that Miracast is installed on the host PC

    • Open Settings
    • Go to Apps > Apps & Features
    • Click 'Optional Features'

    • Check if 'Wireless Display' is installed, if it is, move onto step 2.  If not, then continue

    • Select 'Add A Feature

    • Type 'Wireless Display' into text box and select option when it appears

    2.  Configure Projection Settings

    • Open Settings
    • Go to 'Projecting To This PC'
    • Set 'Some Windows and Android devices can project to this PC when you say it's OK'
      to 'Always Off (Recommended)

Mago wireless content sharing will now work perfectly for all devices.
