Nueva HDL310/HDL410 - integration into Barco Clickshare CX models

Nureva HDL310 / HDL410 – Known issue with Barco CX series

We have identified an issue with integrating the HDL310 / HDL410 with certain models of Barco Clickshare CX series.

To date, this issue only affects Barco Clickshare CX first generation devices.

    Symptoms

When the Barco CX device is attached to the HDL310 or HDL410, it is detected as a speaker and microphone system.  However, when a user attaches their laptop, there is no audio output from the HDL speakers.

The issue has been diagnosed and identified as an incompatibility with the standard USB data rate that the HDL uses.

    Resolution

Nureva has issued a software patch which can force the HDL to switch to a higher USB data rate.

This software is available on a case-by-case basis as Nureva is tracking performance and monitoring to see if the higher data rate causes any other issues.

To get access to the software, please speak to the Ascentae technical team.

We will require the serial number of the HDL Connect Module.

    How to Apply the Fix

Attach the HDL310 or HDL410 directly to a PC via the supplied USB A -> USB-B cable.

    Run the ‘Nureva-USB-Mode-Selector’ software.

Set the USB Mode to High

Attach the HDL to the Barco CX unit and test to confirm.

    Future Enhancement

The USB mode selector will be included in future versions of Nureva Console so the mode can be changed in the management software.

This should be in place by summer 2024.
