GoBright Gateway Setup

    Connect

For a simple setup, your network must have DHCP enabled and have NTP synchronization enabled. NTP is necessary for SSL to function correctly.

We suggest you treat the gateway like you would treat a wireless access point - taking things into account like putting it in an open space, avoid placing it behind metal objects and thick walls.

The maximum connected devices available per gateway is up to 100 (depending on the environment)

    1. Plug in the gateway, either using the power adapter or a data cable that's connected to a PoE-enabled device. If you're using the power adapter, connect the data cable to your switch as well.
    2. Head to the GoBright portal and navigate to Settings > Devices and then select Gateways on the left-hand menu.

    3. Select Add
    4. Complete the Name, Profile, Location and Time zone information
    5. There are two ways to activate the gateway:
      1.  Activation code:

      2. Gateway information:

    6. The gateway information method is the simplest if you have access to the gateway itself as the information required is printed underneath the device. Simply input the information and hit save. It can take up to 5 minutes for the device to show as ‘active’.
    7. The activation code method requires you scan your local network (there are lots of free IP scanning tools available online) and log in to your gateway, using port 8080. The IP address is usually something like 192.168.X.X. So, for example, you would log in using 192.168.0.30:8080 in your browser.
      1. Once you have logged in, navigate to Show Settings, here you will see the activation code to enter in the GoBright portal.

    Setup is complete!

Once your Gateway is active (remember it can take up to 5 minutes), you can start adding devices to your portal.
